Student visa

National study visa for the Czech Republic

The following documents are required for a national visa obtained for the purpose of study in the Czech Republic:

2 pieces of 3.5×4.5 biometric and light, single-background color photographs;
A copy of the original and photo page of the passport (a copy of all pages with a Schengen visa);
Hand-filled visa application form (national visa, more than 90 days);
The original admission document of the university (the university itself must send the document to the e-mail address of the embassy);
An original document about the place of residence (for example, a dormitory), (The dormitory must also send the document to the email address of the embassy);
One-way ticket booking;
The original and 2 copies of both sides of the bank card linked to the bank account;
A bank statement issued in the Azerbaijani language regarding the minimum amount of 4,500 euros in the account must be translated into the Czech language in the original form by a notary. See a sample document.
The certificate of conviction issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the "ASAN service" center must first be certified with an apostille seal (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) at the "ASAN service" center number 5 and must be notarized in the original form and translated into Czech. 1 year travel insurance (minimum 30,000 euros) must be with unlimited and comprehensive package. Insurance must be submitted to the embassy after the visa decision has been made. According to the latest change, until August 2, 2026, the Czech Embassy will only be able to provide services to Pojišťovna VZP, a.s. will accept insurance.
For students under the age of 18, the birth certificate must be certified with an apostille stamp (Ministry of Justice) and a notarized copy must be notarized and translated into Czech. See a sample document.

Notes:
It is necessary to use the services of the persons listed on the official website for the translation and confirmation of documents into Czech;
The visa fee is 2,500 Czech crowns and is payable at the embassy in euros only;
1 copy of all original documents should be made.

Attention:
The Czech visa response is late. It is officially stated that the waiting period for the visa response can take up to 90 days. Experience shows that it is necessary to wait 45-50 days. Therefore, if you have plans to study in the Czech Republic, you need to make a decision and apply for a visa in time.
